Dear horsemen and horsewomen, lovers of dark mysteries at a head-length, I wish to announce that they've literally discovered where the dumb man has weaned his mare. Our unconfirmed reliable sources say his desperate neigh was heard by a deaf man who'dtethered his lust to a carnation. At the same time, Ion's garden is also hosting this year's group grazing, a form of mainstream vegetarianism. Anyone with a long horsey face, a love of grass and a hankering for dead horses' shoes is welcome. We look forward to seeing you.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
