When the comedian came in, God, how we laughed, we would've been all rolling on the floor of the ward if we hadn't been tucked in our beds, I really want to be a comedian or a footballer, the footballer was super cool as well, juggling the ball and hitting Alex's drip, I miss Alex, how early he left, at 4:00 in the morning, when I heard in my dream the last beep of his heart, I wouldn't want to be a doctor though, because I want to save everyone and that is impossible, I have not decided yet, but I'll see when I grow up, right? So when do I grow up?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
