but I do not know where I put it, it always shows up when I do not want it and disappears when I search for it. It is not the only one, but it is the most preferred one, that brings me special feelings. That lifts me up when am down and also hits me in the head when I go wandering among the clouds and I ignore it. It is like a sticker glued to my back that I am unaware of, it is always by my side, but hidden. Hidden from my eyes, I say, as the world actually sees it, some laughing, others getting sad. Good thing I do not give off hate or disdain. I believe. Haven't you seen my flaw? I miss it.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
