Wait, I'll show it to you. Where the hell did, I put it, only yesterday an antique collector came to me asking me to sell it. Wait a minute, it must be here somewhere. Oh, no way, I didn't sell it. Look, here, oh, no, it's me in the mirror. Where the. Where is it? See, he shrugs, he doesn't know either. He's not at his repair shop. It was here in the box on the table when I got back from the therapist. Don't get upset, I hope in three days I can find it and show it to you. Describe it? Is it that interesting?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
