I am the perfect writer; I have written perfect books inspired by my perfect character. I have only qualities taken to the extreme, I'm too kind, too smart, too confident, too optimistic, too forgiving, too loving. I think I write too well and these fools, full of imperfections, don't read my writing or, if they do, don't praise it, out of envy. Some idiots, frustrated people, supposedly they don't recognize themselves in what I write. They expect me to stoop to their level. I stay in my bubble of perfection, not to pick up any flaw.

Nadina Vișan / Edited by Silvia Petrescu, coordinator of the translations)Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
