How was it? Well, I thought it was weird. New school, new colleagues in the teachers' room, a moody headmaster and zero coffee. No filter, no espresso maker. Well, I stayed on the dry, but my eyes are rolling back in my head with exhaustion. I also had a hard case at the office, right off the bat. Ah, no. Not in that way. A guy came in, cried a lot. Poor darling. I felt sorry for him. Boy, he cried so hard, he got me wet all over the front of my dress. I had to blow it dry for half an hour, because I had psychology with the 10th grade and no dress to change.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2022, the group has 9,580 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
