The Grim Reaper was walking around for business purposes when he saw a queue in which curious people were lining up. He joined too, outran in his sprint by a hag. What do they give you here? The philosopher geezer from the park with the table box under his arm: What do they give? You shall give in order to receive. The hag: They are giving us the Apocalypse rations, my dear. Jesus is coming. There's no need to fear, the apocalypse is coming on an yet unbuilt Romanian highway. Riding a horse. The last time she was seen in the traffic to Poiana Brașov. I got it. From a neighbourhood with cold running water, one could hear: You have No Power here, bitch.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In December 2022, the group has 9,880 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
