Come on, you've got a lot of head kerchiefs, why do you need a hat too? It's once in a lifetime that I am going to a rich man's wedding, I want a parabolic dish like the one Camila has. That's how I'll catch everybody's eye. Let it be red. She must have had some gismos in it, for no sooner had she become a great queen than Saveta, her mother-in-law gave up the ghost. Let it be big, with a hand of Viennese goose feathers in front and some pheasant feathers at the back. The feathers should be set on a copper spring, with 6G, in nit. I see, it's exclusive to the royal house? Go to hell, I'll wait, I'm sure I'll get some hand-me-downs from the deceased.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2023, the group has 10,220 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
