Iș libe diș, ai lov iu, jeo tema, te kero, ti amo, te iub... I can luv you like nobody's business. What are you saying, pickle? national poet Eminescu asked Rroma Rândunica. I do, honest, because after 3 months of begging in front of the Louvre and gathering iron in front of the Tower, I've learned any kind of trade. I saw all those gents, heard all their billing and cooing, learned all their tricks. What twilight, it's 7 in the morning and you're speaking foreign languages. Emi, I went out of my way trying to impress you, don't you get it? Amoor, that means my love for you. Pickle, amoor lecherous woman than you, I have yet to see. Se lamur, Emi, se lamur, what can you do.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2023, the group has 10,220 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
