I put a mask on and left for the party. It smelled like late autumn and the street seemed haunted by shadows too gentle for such a night. I walked to the villa. At the entrance I found him entertaining a group of women, as usual. I'm sure he saw me because he started laughing louder and kissed one of them. I hate it when we take a break, he told me towards the morning, when I found him on a couch. And we both knew it wasn't a break, but we somehow got suspended in our own story.

(In January 2023, the group has 10,220 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
