Rid of the noise. Of me, speaking.Of me, shutting up too hard. I know you could hear me even then, I'm not quiet like the other mortals, I speak in silence. Maybe I wasn't aware that life had tired you out. Maybe I tired you out. Let me free and I'll let you something: hi, I love you, bye. And then I'll shut up. Or maybe I won't.

Nadina Vișan / Edited by Silvia Petrescu, coordinator of the translations)Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2023, the group has 10,220 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
