The cruel alarm is ravaging my eardrums. 7. The light-seeks its way through the curtains, subtly creeping into the room. It rises slowly from my ankles to my forehead, leaving on my body streaks of life. It settles meekly in my left eye. The right eye still wonders whether to let it in. The mind wakes with an involuntary yawn, vortex absorbing the unease. This year has passed, too. I've buried a marriage, five wishes and a cat. I'm still undecided which one hurt more. (In February 2023, the group has 10,500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
