Snow White had purchased 14 dwarves in the new Christmas promotion. She used them as elves to decorate the tree, when she didn't feel like asking Paul to do it, or she made them sit still in the yard, so the neighbours would say they had garden gnomes. She had made a deal by taking them 2 for the price of 1, and carried her covetousness to the extreme by building bunk beds for the existing ones. She kept the lucky one at home when the others left for work, saying to him: Go down in mines, Mutulica (the one that does not talk much), because she had heard that the ones that do not speak are better when it comes to act.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2023, the group has 10,500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
