Dude, look what is written here: he sits at night by the light of a lamp and writes. That's it? It's not, comrade militia. Yes, how is it? It's true that I sit by a lamplight, but I don't write. Basket. What are you doing man? Basket. What baskets? Tapestry. Can't you mow during the day? No, I'm going to work. And at night you sweep? Exactly. And when do you even get time to sleep? On grabs, comrade, between two flies. Well, you want me to put you in the basement, at zero degrees? Do you know what lies in zero degrees? The water is freezing. Congrats. Yes, below zero degrees do you know what it is? No. It's a blind spot, bro. Dead angle.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2023, the group has 11,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
