Facktis takes hold of the quill and shoots. Die, Whatsupy, get out of here with your fucked love. He misses the target. The text, armed with the most lethal ink, ricochets into a tabula rasa, after which Whatsupy hides, searching for the quill. Whatsupy doesn't have a quill. Your end has come, says Facktis pressing the quill to his temple. Shoot, if you still have something to shoot with, says Whatsupy. Facktis pulls the trigger, the quill jams, Whatsupy takes out the "i" that Facktis is missing and sticks it in his chest. Kinda sucks without autocorrect, motherfucker, right? Stop. Add some blood. Ready? Ready, steady, go and action.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2023, the group has 11,430 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
