I don't remember my mother's face. We've been in the monster's guts forever. The comrade on the right is staring off into space. The hand caught in splints has become swollen. The one on the left is spitting blood. Once a day, a surreal ray descends from above. Then the night envelops us like a dirty shroud. I wrote to him. Before they blew up the infrastructure. People say you've come from another planet to preach that the impossible can be defeated. Living on this planet is no longer possible. Save us. We await the Star at dawn. And the saucers.

Crowds, noise, the smell of minced meat rolls and mulled wine. He himself, the father of all things seen and unseen, had come to preach his parables about the future. He laughed with satisfaction when he saw the car park full of Teslas, all sporting the reinterpreted image of the Holy Grail on their hoods. The satellites admired him from above, eager to hear how artificial intelligence will overtake humanity. Who's this guy? South Africa? He should go back to where he came from, we came for the next one.Vanghelie, E Vanghelie[1] after Elon Musk. He brings almanacs.

A medium-sized spacecraft approaches one of SpaceX's space bases, which is directly connected to the Sun. The touchdown was quick and the ship lifted its dozens of micro panels for the millisecond-long charge. Then it continued its journey to Earth, the laboratory planet. Elon had invited several Annarian, Betazoid and Caldonian businessmen on board, who held the following ten commandments for earthlings. A Lotus Esprit car was waiting for them when they landed and took them straight to the Tesla headquarters.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2023, the group has 11,680 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
