I've got every award possible for The Journal of an inmate, but this movie is about a family harassed by communists and it won't be the best film I've produced. I have finished a much greater story. Everything has to come to an end with this last movie which will come out the day I will end my life. The scenario is about a child who discovers official documents preserved in the attic of the house by his father, a former executioner during the communist regime. Through the documents, he discovers a journal.

The winter weather was still present and he had layered twenty undershirts under his jersey, three pairs of underpants and a ragged leather jacket. He had passed the border at Nădlac and now he was in a heated train that was heading to Mako, in Hungary. By the time the inspectors came he was sweating as if he were ill. Two hours later, you could see him shrivelling in the market, with a beer in his hand and a cigarette which he was quickly puffing. He had sold everything that he had underneath and he was about to buy some food and sweets for the children at home. Easter was also coming during communism.

Is sex really necessary? How could it not be, the producer blurted out, have you seen any well-rated movie without these steamy scenes? This is a way to satisfy your creative needs in life. That guy jumps the window sill after seducing the corrupt tycoon's wife, spies always have affairs. This is not a movie with Jehovah's Witnesses, is it? But, the action of the movie takes place in Siberia, at minus 50 degrees. What's wrong with it? Film the lovers on the train, like the director in Kreutzer Sonata did, I want a top rating, otherwise we're out of business, what don't you understand?
