Be elegant. As if were you, I told to myself. I am poor. The money from the money-box I hardly used for buying a dress. The shoes from last year are still in good shape. I wear them only on Sunday. I arrived in the heat of the party. Lots of guests. Big play boys. Way too big. They looked at me superiorly. I smiled at them inferiorly. I can do this. They wouldn't know how to, they don't even have money-boxes. They only have cards filled by the old ones. They don't know what to do with their own Sundays. I left there barefoot. I'm down to Earth. I'm rich.

On Sundays I would quickly come from the playground and I would never leave after the lunch. I would stay out of breath to get my weekly 5-minutes ratio of cartoons. It was a bad weather too that day and I hadn't even gone out in the morning. I sat down highly hoping in front of the black and white TV, wrapped in my fluffy blanket. I watched all the TV series. I found out where had the beloved leader and his wife been latest. Then came the credits of Tom the cat, chasing the mouse. After a while, the power went off.

Dear diary, I missed you. The summer break is nearly over and the teacher will ask us again to write a composition: how I spent my summer holiday. She isn't very creative, but at least she is beautiful. She's not young; she's 30. My mum says she has greasy eyes, but I wouldn't say, they seem they don't move. They are green, like the sea at the Mamaia. When I don't speak to you, I'm sending letters to the boy I've built sandcastles with. He's got blue eyes. Now I have to go, he's calling me out in front of the block.
