At the Big Blind People, the Lord is at it again, He is working out of donations. What didn't come right genetically from a rib, I think it will come out naturally from a short piece of wood. One over the snout and Eve is motivated for some botox. All good, but what about the arches, the cheekbones? Facial rejuvenation is highly expensive pure science. The creationist trend requires face lifting, type OMG cleavage, push-up buttocks, eyelashes with extensions, tattooed eyebrows, king size nails and permanent hair removal. A body of reconstructed Eve is something to be proud of when the Lord seems to still have to retake some anatomy exams.

Dad passed away, I am the only heir. Of the body, I wasn't left with something else. The morgue freezer is in the back hallway of the hospital, on the right, and the exit, the platform and the morgue are on the left. I'm going in the mortuary chamber. I notice dad has green eyes. I'm thinking whether I should close them or not. I choose the middle option. My dad's body is a statue. He looks like the Discobolus, except the fact he is tired. If I inherit my dad, can I donate him? I give him a white shirt. No more work. Mom stands in the doorway of the morgue and watches as a young Persian boy is dissected.

I am ready for my final journey. My launch is broadcasted by SpaceX. Thousands of people watch me. The people who created me are nervous. I have the strongest engines. The boosters dance in the air until they transfer me the fuel. If I get on Mars, I'll explode, and the people on Earth will do an autopsy on me. The artificial intelligence is my only companion. After some time, Grok will send them all parameters. The next steel crane will be better than me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2024, the group has 13,100 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
