I was already reaching the keyhole and it was only natural to look at my mom in the bathroom. She told me it was my little curly brother and I told a classmate. A couple classes later, the kids were calling me Curly. They even made a joke about me. That's how I came to hate pubes. That night, I wanted it so badly I knelt down and gently unzipped her panties. I shrank back in fright when I saw her rebellious, frizzy flap. Luckily, she laughed softly and told me firmly while pulling my head towards her: come on, she won't bite.

She was master of the rings, had all the fingers and did all the lips. She bewitched her boyfriend in a coffee break with the languorous rounded smoke from her lipstick mouth. He became addicted to her after he knew her hot coils around him and allowed himself to be totally trained. He listened to her and did whatever she wanted, even permanently styled his hair so that her palms could play ceaselessly between the rings. After a while they broke up, and she got a poodle she named after him.

little curly haired uppy, now the oem comes to me. Oem? Well, I thought it was only in the P's that your tongue gets tongue-tied, Ostel, said Măriuța, after he gave her a hard time, then grabbed her by the utt and delighted her with the pleasure of killing her in the back of the courtyard. A treasure, Măruța realized, more bewildered by the ur than by the ead, and she let herself go. But Ostel was set on facts. No little uppy, no urly air, but instead saw the biggest beast from inside the ants. Măriuța stopped, put her paws, took the whole egg and swallowed it. Oh no Maria, another poem got started.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2024, the group has 13,100 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
