The PR girl informs Noah of the situation. The ecologists have held protests. You're losing supporters. Apart from the fact that you're sailing on a ship with solar panels, they don't like anything. Miss, there are international rules; they should drop the biblical text. We don't throw trash, we don't produce hydrocarbon spills. We're not allowed to transport live animals for consumption. Everything is frozen. The vegetables and fruits will last us for two weeks. We leave the dock at 5:45 AM. As for me, the flood won't be coming. Mola[1].
[1] Mola - word used to give order to ships: Leave! Get going!

The followers, said the being. When RoA heard its metallic voice, she could have sworn it was at least a Hybrid Being, if not Robotic. But then the being looked at the smartwatch, only Humans needed one and her voice, without inflections, echoed through the speakers: Only pairs are allowed on board. Prepare your retina or barcode for scanning be-fore reaching me. Boarding ends at 14 zero zero, after which we will rise the access bridge. At 14:30, Ark 2.0 must lift the anchor. Look, a rain worm, let's take it home to play with, said the little boy from the bench next to me. His fingers were covered in mud, and he was grumpy because his mother was deeply engrossed in her phone. The child met my gaze, I smiled at him, and hecame over with a serious expression.Do you want pudding? I nodded, and he began stirring mud in the rainwater puddle. He picked a leaf and placed the mixture on it. He offered it to me, I pretended to taste it, and exclaimed, How good it is! Then his eyes lit up my face with thousands of joyful fireflies.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2024, the group has 13,480 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, Luchian Abel, Monica Aldea, and Vlad Mușat. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
