Come on, stop looking at me like a fool, get the censer quickly. Andrei, George, Cornel. Tibi, Stefan, Eddy. Tudor, the Popescu brothers, Nicu and Victor. Iulian from Control along with his entire family. Bamse, Stelu and Ionuţ. That guy from Customs whose name I don't even know, Laurenţiu from Medgidia and Florentin from Tinder. Mişu, Eugen, Claudiu. That's it, they're dead and buried for me. I've never cursed anyone in my life, and I won't curse anyone, but may the phone screen shatter into pieces to the one who won't call me the next day from now on.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
