Is this how you're taking me out on our first date after our wedding? With those pants on, that give you a muffin top? Can't you see your belly hanging over your belt? Quit trying to fit into that blazer, it's two sizes too small. Shut up, stop making excuses. You're fat! How do I look? Shut it, I know exactly what you're about to say. You look lovely, my dear! Yes, that's right, lovely and dumb, to stay married to someone like you. You're a wuss. Shut up, you know I'm right. Are you ready? Shut it, you're a slowpoke! Anyway, it will be boring. Shut up, I know how it goes. We'll just sit at the table and you won't say a word.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
