By desert we've already gotten with the conversation to the upcoming spring, flowers, Martisor and the 8th of March, love and presents. I was thinking that I managed to combine the idiot when he suddenly asked me if I have a Revolut card. He was so twit that if he transferred me some cash just like that, from the start, I would've given him a chance. But what do you think the twit was after? For us to split the check, that's what he wanted. I almost fainted, I swear. So I pretended to go to the bathroom to powder my nose and left him with the rum babas on the table.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
