Sunday morning the telephone was ringing off the hook. Hello, yes. Hello, Robert? Ya' piece of shit, how could ya'? Ya' really think I'm the dumbest bitch ever? To play me like that? Wait a minute, I don't think. Wait what, ya' moron? Listen here, take the nonsense out of your head. And know that from this day you and I are O V E R. Woozy how I was, just woken up from my sleep, I felt like the next to last human on Earth. Like the last one I'm sure she felt when she realized she got the wrong number.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
