The party passed, they went in their honeymoon. They came back more cheerful than ever, built their dream house, travelled and dreamt. After a few years, they had twins: a girl and a boy. The children grew up in peace, they attended a fancy school, and each child took their own path. They filled their garden with grandchildren that cheered them for years. On an evening of May, they feel asleep in the yard swing and they didn't wake up. That's how they found them, that's how they buried them: one next from each other.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
