That's it, I'm going home. Why are you speeding this up, mate? Aren't you waiting to do inventory? Oh, I forgot. Are there many? No, I only checked by eye. Come on, take them out. Get a wallet. empty? You can guess it cleared out till it came to us. I take it, it's leather. A pair of gloves. Aren't they fit for your wife? It's good quality leather. How do you know they fit to my wife? I'm just saying... Yes, it suits her; I take them. And these: Anna Karenina and Dilemma. Yes, mate, only brains on these trains. Throw them away and let's go home.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
