A green elephant with pebbles, some lamps from an older TV, a Chinese fisherman trinket, a fish trinket, a small Buddha of silver, a doily, a painting by Picasso, a painting by Rembrandt, Maradona's T-shirt from the World's final Championship and a Stradivarius violin. Sir, are you defying the authority? You can go to jail with such a statement. No, I take responsibility for all that I write. If anyone finds her, it was big with Hello Kitty on her. I offer a reward of 100,000 euros to anyone who brings it to me in perfect shape.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
