Damn. Today of all days. I had peonies to buy to surprise her at first light with a huge bouquet. I want to take her to the mountains with her new car about which at first I will tell her that it's rented. I want to propose to her in a room of rose petals on the bed and pull out the ring at a very precise moment, immediately after the third orgasm when she blushes like a bouquet. We'll stay here until everyone comes, sure they'll be late, hopefully they won't show up at ten. Come on, give me some sticks and take off your clothes, there still is time by tomorrow.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
