Nahh, I will never become so desperate like Mirela. Or like Anca. Sister, what do you mean by online dating, I am disgusted, I don't even want to hear about it. I cannot meet with all those strangers, I bet they are all drunkards, awful womanizers, some drifters, I am a woman who means business and come on, I am done with that online whoring, no one has any principles left in them, we don't have anything pure in us left? That damn upload photo button. Hmm, you suggest I should press refresh? Look, there, it works.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
