I called it GoDown exposItIon center and I put myself naked in a room. I surrounded myself by mirrors and I stood there a while. On the door I wrote CLOSED. I looked in the mirrors and I found myself at a time beautiful, fat, unhappy and strong. Sometimes I could not lift my eyes, I was everywhere, I even could not figure out which one is the real me. One day, I broke a mirror, another day I even smiled to myself and I hugged myself. I was fed up with me. I missed him, but when I looked for him in the house, I found a door on which there was written GODown exposition center CLOSED.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
