Come in. Here you can admire a pair of legs that ran further once you bruised me and returned twice more quickly when you gave me hopes. Here we have two intimate arms embraced around the abandoned body by the fondness of your body. Two eyes, one dried of longing, the other one being lightened naively by dreams with you. Smothered lungs by your airs. The heart, we apologize, could no longer be exposed because it was broken. We beg you to leave because it is closed. Definitively.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
