Want to know what I think about you? Do you really want to? Ok. I'll tell you. It annoys me that you throw your socks around the house, that you leave your cup of coffee on the nightstand, that you forget to lower the toilet lid every time, it drives me crazy that you pinch my butt when I pass by you, each snore of yours that disturbs my sleep pisses me off, I can't stand that you eat too fast, that at night you hug me too tight, that you sit for minutes on the balcony staring at the moon. I actually wanted to tell you that I love you.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
