My God, what a belly! Don't you tell me you're pregnant again 'cuz I'll go nuts. You're sure you're not? Anyway, you do you. So aren't you gonna lose weight? Not my business but I'm thinkin' maybe you'd get a role or somethin'. You did? In a film? Can you still act, after all the time-out? But aren't you gonna repaint these walls? How can you live in such filth? You cooked this? I'm surprised, it's actually good. Did you wash the veggies well? You're not very good at this stuff, just like that asshole, your dad.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
