Sparkling playfully stars appeared from somewhere in the black fur. The pink mouths, awaken, were searching for breast-milk. One of them snarled at me. It was as if I could hear their thoughts: mommy, mommy. When I took it in my hands, as tiny as it was, small as a fluffy pinhead, he was all trembling. My index finger wasn't for chewing, but it still sucked on it a little. I laughed. The others took courage and started to lick my toes. I indulge them to tickle me and then I told them a story about a true love, one that is impossible to forget, about tits and milk and warmth and light.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
