Move the light, please. Do you think she would want her keys back? I wouldn't. I can't get them out, the key-ring is stuck, just a moment. Please hold this apart here, yes, yes, that's it. You'll keep seeing gestures like this one from now on. They say it's romantic. I hope you don't have plans after this. The papers should be done. Do you think it was painful? No, not the fact that she wanted to break up with him, but when he swallowed them. That's it. It's done. I've got them out. The cause of the death accidental suffocation with a foreign object. Listen to them, love goes through the stomach, what a joke. That's if it doesn't kill you first.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
