Every evening Emilia cooked for him following a different recipe. She played with the food as well as she liked to play with her life too. Using her imagination, tenderly, passionately and joyfully. He tasted the food and asked her to explain the way she prepared it, step by step. At the end he wrote everything down, and the conclusion was that it could always be better. It was never good enough. The time passed and he left her. One day, in the window of a bookstore from the center of the city, appeared a receipt-book which was very impressive. It was written by him. There were 518 of Emilia's recipes.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
