Grandma, have you bought from them again? Why do you need an induction stove? You also bought a stove for camping. For what? We don't need it. Do you still have some space on the closet? You put them beside the set of cutlery which you never have used and beside the butcher's knives set. Grandma, I told you that it's a scam and you know it as well. Tell them that you don't need anything else. I know, but I'm thinking that at the phone there's a little girl like you, that this is her job and that otherwise she won't get her wage.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
