Knock, knock, is the cave open? Mm-hmm, come in. Wow, you're so beautiful. Gulp. Excuse me, I'm hot. Me hunter bang, bang. Right on time. Bang, bang and slice the rhino with stone. Holy smoke. Smack, smack, gulp, gulp. Oho, good food. Now, do you want to bum, bum with me? Come on. Woow, woow, uh-huh, there, yay. Waa, waa, after 9 months. Bye-bye. Dad teaches him boom, boom the rhino. Bum, bum, hurray, he's learning by himself. The years go by, tick tock. Tittle-tattler. Hoobble, life goes by. Uh-oh, gosh, uf, nice kettle of fish. Whatever.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
