It rained on their wedding day, but laughing they claimed it was a sign of wealth. Everyone wished them a Happy Wedding and that's how their life turned out. When they went through hard times they never forgot, even for a moment, that they were stronger together than separated. Now, at the end of their lives, a candle at the head of their beds was burning. They were smiling at each other. Thank you, for a life together. But this is not the end, my love. It is only the end of an age where our love spent its childhood in. Look, our house of stone is crumbling into sand. But I'll be waiting for you on the beach.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
