Those few minutes, no more than 15, I\'ve received my well-deserved attention and he\'s told me nothing but wonderful things about myself. He called me sanctimonious (I didn\'t exactly understand the compliment), narcissistic (he saw the perfection of the narcissus within me), an ego-egotistical sod I think (indeed, I was a little sad, but only because he didn\'t pay more attention to me.) Finally, he was there just for me, yet he still insisted to let him go. I\'ve kept his eyes, as I\'ve kept everyone\'s. I\'m famous, I grant themonly15 minutes a day. I love the way they look at me and only me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
