Following the book launch, the writer became more successful than he\'s ever dreamt of becoming. He had lots of interviews, received all kinds of awards. He decided to publish another book. Thus his grandpa, after he was done milking the cow and tucking the hens in for the night, sat down at the table, lit an unfiltered cigarette, sharpened his pencil with the penknife and started to write stories once again. He would then mail them to his nephew, in the city. He hadn\'t been afraid of dying in the war, but he\'d sworn he would never speak in public.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
