He put me on a motorcycle and took me through the city. I held him tight both out of pride and out of fear. It was my first time. I set my boots on the footrest and glued my helmet to his shoulder blade. I wrapped my arms around his waist and stuck my faith into his jacket. My eyes were teary because of the thrill and of the wind hitting my eyes through the open visor. When we got off, my calf muscles ached. We joined hands and we stayed like that. 15 minutes brought us 5 years. And another 15 ruined us.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
