Hello, what are you doing, Vetuţo? I'm very good. Ohh, you, Vetuţo, how nice it is here. Youth, life, freedom. Every day I run barefoot by the sea to the end of Vama. Clean treatment. You need sports, Vetuţo; we are cheating our old age. You need a motivation, you hear me? Here, I am motivated by nudists. Ohh you, Vetuţo. If only you knew what scraps I saw on the beach. Leave Sovata, come here, rinse that cataract off your eyes. Okay, bye, I am leaving. I'm going to run a little longer.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
