I come to Vama Veche because I love the sea, the accommodation and the freedom. I want to forget my complicate cases. I like the chill nights spent in a tent, warmed by a beautiful woman body which is close to mine. I like to fall asleep with the sound of the waves breaking on the shore. In the morning I like to make love to my girlfriend and then, after a bath in the sea, we like to drink our coffee at Ahmet. I don't go to the crowded side of Vama Veche, I like it quiet. Here I am not the terrible detective Iulianes, I am just a man from Vama Veche.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
