I had to get drunk to write this text. Listen here: the biggest love was when he'd kiss me with salty lips without knowing who I was and me without knowing who he is. After that we'd drink at a table beside the Crazy white guitarist with Green Girls, Black Cats, Streetcars pulled by horses, Love Street and Odd People. We'd left quietly after everything quieted. We'd make children. Name them after dead actors. We'd depart - strangers. On Earth we had everything: and it could and it couldn't, and mud and stars. It hurts me a steed.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
