I couldn't be the president, not even for a day. I don't have what it takes to be in this position. On a second thought, even if I were, what could be achieved in a single day? Nothing really. Undoubtedly, in your imagination, you can achieve the impossible and fix things that have been pending for years. Let's face it, though. None of us has superpowers and we won't be able to change anything. So I know my place and I don't even dream about becoming a president. I leave it to others to make a complete fool of themselves or just anger the citizens. There are enough candidates - they don't need me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
