Scene 1. Take 10. You're wonderful, honey. I'll love you forever. CUT. I don't believe you. How to I say this? Be more believable. Scene 1. Take 11. You're wonderful, honey. STOP. You're a liar. We're switching. Bring in another actor, please. No, wait, I can do it, give me another chance. Young man, you've had enough chances, you're not ready for this movie. Scene 1. Take 1. Actor 2. Honey, you're not perfect, but you're wonderful to me. I love you, right now, right here, that's all. Scene 2. Scene 3. Scene 56. It's been three years. They're still filming.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
