How much do you have? I made 8 ron. 6 plus 3 plus 2, a total of 19. Damned be the neighbours, they didn't like our Carol. What did I tell you about drinking cold water in the morning? You have a raspy voice, perhaps this is your fault. Let's go to the pharmacy and see if this is enough. Darn it, Emi... Mom's been freezing in bed since yesterday, and we need 10 more ron. Where's dad when you need him? He has been missing for a month. So, here's the plan: we go to Miss Geta and ask her if she wants to buy a teddy bear, a pen and that little sticker.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
