That's where you caught the disease. Come on, it's not that easy to get, it's not like chickenpox. You know very well what I mean, do you really need to go to the seaside every year? And it was a wonderful experience, do you remember those summers when just the two of us left on our motorcycles? The last thing you need at your 80 years and your melanoma is the motorcycle. Come on dear, admit it, you won't say no to be on road back with Mişu either. Oh, Mişule, Oh, love, come give me a kiss and bring that drawer stacked with old pictures to see once again your long ponytails.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
